Hospice of the Heartland will host their annual Lights of Life memorial service and tree-lighting ceremony at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona on Sunday, December 8 at 1:00 p.m.
The annual Lights of Life event offers a time of reflection for those wanting to honor and remember a loved one. In addition, Lights of Life helps to increase awareness of the work done by local hospice staff and volunteers and provides an opportunity to raise funds to support that work.
“We welcome anyone who is interested in joining us for this ceremony and service to come,” said Kathy Dearchs, licensed social worker with Hospice of the Heartland. “You did not need to have a family member or loved one in the hospice program to join us.”
Lights of Life forms are available in Community Health and on the KRHC website at www.krhc.com. A tax-deductible gift of $12 will light a bulb on the tree at KRHC in memory or in honor of an individual of personal significance. Deadline to purchase a light in memory of a loved one is December 1st.
