Kossuth Regional Health Center (KRHC) is proud to announce it has been recognized with multiple 2026 Top Workplaces awards for cultural excellence in healthcare, highlighting the organization’s ongoing commitment to fostering a positive, supportive workplace environment for its employees.
KRHC received Top Workplaces honors in the following categories:
- Employee Appreciation

- Healthcare Industry Top Workplaces
These prestigious distinctions are especially meaningful because they are based entirely on direct employee feedback collected through a confidential Energage survey, which measures key aspects of workplace culture, engagement, and organizational health.
Over 185 KRHC employees participated in the survey, demonstrating strong engagement and a shared commitment to continuously improving the organization for both staff and patients.
“This recognition for cultural excellence reflects what we value most at Kossuth Regional Health Center—our people. Every day, our team creates an environment where colleagues support one another, patients feel cared for, and our community is truly at the center of everything we do,” said Dar Elbert, Chief Executive Officer of KRHC. “I am incredibly proud of the culture our team has built and am grateful to our employees for their honest feedback, which continues to guide our growth.”
The Top Workplaces awards are based solely on employee feedback gathered through Energage, a nationally recognized provider of employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey evaluates key components of a thriving workplace, including alignment, execution, connection, and employee well-being.
“This achievement is a testament to our team’s dedication to creating a workplace where individuals feel valued, supported, and inspired,” said Samantha Weichert, Human Resources Director at KRHC. “We are committed to listening, learning, and continuing to build on this strong foundation—while ensuring KRHC remains a place where people are proud to work and excited to join.”
KRHC leadership emphasizes that the organization will continue to use employee feedback to enhance programs, strengthen communication, and support staff at every level. As a community-based healthcare provider, KRHC believes that a strong internal culture directly impacts the quality of care delivered to patients.
“At KRHC, culture isn’t something we talk about—it’s something we live every day. This honor belongs to every member of our team who contributes to making this such a special place to work and receive care,” Elbert added.
