Dr. Jeffre Helmink is originally from Aurora, Nebraska. He joined KRHC in partnership with Northwest Iowa Surgeons in 2026. He did his undergraduate work and medical school at the University of Nebraska. His general surgery residency began at the VA in Des Moines and continued at Methodist in Des Moines. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Professional interests include endoscopy and minimally invasive abdominal surgery. His personal interests include hunting, boating and reading.
