Hospice of the Heartland will host its annual memorial service and butterfly release on Wednesday, June 3 in the outdoor courtyard of Kossuth Regional Health Center at 5:00 p.m.

All are welcome to attend this memorial ceremony to honor and remember loved ones. At the conclusion of the memorial service, attendees will be able to release a butterfly in the KRHC courtyard in memory of a special loved one.

A tax-deductible gift of $15 will purchase a butterfly in memory or honor of a loved one who has passed. All proceeds will benefit hospice care and services. For those who wish to purchase a butterfly, you can find the form here or you may contact Community Health and Hospice at 515-295-4430.

The deadline to purchase a butterfly is Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Hospice of the Heartland provides services to clients diagnosed with a terminal illness who can no longer benefit from curative treatment. A team of trained, local professionals—physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, pharmacists, dieticians, home health aides, and volunteers—work together to offer medical, care and support services to patients, as well as their families and caregivers.
