Dr. John Schantzen, D.O. joined the medical practice at KRHC in October of 2017.  He earned a biology and chemistry degree from St. Olaf College with a concentration in biomedical ethics.  He pursued his doctorate at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was also a Rural Medicine Pathway Student. He completed his residency at Via Christi in Kansas, where he served as Chief Resident.
