Dr. Tan joined KRHC in May 2026. At the age of 17, Dr. Thoo Tan left his Malaysian roots to come to America. He was fortunate to be sponsored by welcoming farmers in the Mankato, Minnesota area. He felt like the luckiest kid in the world as he’d have the opportunity to get an education. He graduated from Mankato State University earning a Medical Technologist degree. His curious interest in the medical field led him to attend medical school. He graduated from Des Moines University.

Dr. Tan’s focus fell upon the gynecology field because he wanted to combine his love of surgery with the privilege of helping mothers and bringing life into the world.
