At any given time, almost six million Americans suffer from problematic wounds. Some are associated with complications from diabetes or vascular disorders and include pressure sores or traumatic wounds. These hard-to-heal wounds need advanced care.
Kossuth Regional Health Center offers a wound care clinic, staffed by a Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN). We work as a team with you and your doctor to determine the most appropriate and effective treatment options to meet your needs.
Referrals for wound care can be made for patients for any of the following reasons:
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Venous stasis ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Skin tears
- Post surgical care incisions
- Traumatic injuries
- Any wound you have concerns about not healing
Nail Care is also offered in the wound clinic: $40 due at time of service.
