SUMMARY:Foundation Legacy Ball
DESCRIPTION:The KRHC Foundation’s annual Legacy Ball is set for November 2nd at the Columbia Events Center featuring a history of healthcare themed atmosphere and menu.  This year will mark the 22nd annual Legacy Ball with Bob Dotson chosen as the honorary Legacy Legend. \n  \nThe Foundation is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and Bob Dotson came to mind as the perfect person to honor as this year’s Legacy Legend.  Bob and his wife Mary Ann moved to Algona in the early 70s with their young family.  Soon after Bob joined forces with other members of community as concern grew for the future of healthcare in Kossuth County.  Bob became involved in the Kossuth County Medical Center board as one of the original members.  He helped lead the way to establish the building of the clinic that would help attract new doctors to the area.  Bob’s passion for healthcare continued to grow when he became a member of the Board of Trustees in the 1980s and then a member of the Foundation board in the 90s.  Bob’s passion and determination for the success of Kossuth Regional Health Center and the community helped to grow and advance KRHC into one of the top critical access hospitals in the region. \n  \nThe Legacy Ball is an annual black tie optional event that raises funds to grow the KRHC Foundation’s endowment fund. Cocktails and appetizers will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7:30 p.m. A silent auction will be held throughout the evening featuring a select number of vacation getaways\, gift baskets\, treats and other items. Dancing will follow the meal at 9 p.m.\, with music provided by Kirk’s DJ Service. \n  \nThis year’s menu includes a creamy\, Italian Caesar salad. For the main entrée\, caramel apple pork tenderloin\, dauphinoise potatoes and roasted broccolini. For dessert guests will enjoy a Capuchino Semifreddo with a cinnamon sugar donut. \n  \nTickets for the Legacy Ball are $100 per person. You do not have to be a prior donor to attend\, all are welcome. Guests are encouraged to reserve their seats early\, as tables are limited.  The RSVP deadline is October 15th. \n
