KRHC secures new general surgeonDr. Harry Condoleon to begin in JulyKossuth Regional Health Center is pleased to announce that a new general surgeon has been successfully hired. Dr. Harry Condoleon signed a letter of intent indicating his commitment to become KRHC’s general surgeon effective July 1, 2009. “We couldn’t be happier with Dr. Condoleon’s decision,” said KRHC Administrator Scott Curtis. “Dr. Condoleon and his family will be a great addition to this community, and he will be a welcome addition to our medical staff.” Dr. Harry Condoleon, his wife Holli and five children will move to Algona from Las Vegas, NV where he is currently practicing as a surgeon, but the family has several Iowa connections. Dr. Condoleon has worked with Southwest Iowa Surgery in Atlantic Iowa and Surgical Affiliates in Des Moines. He did both his residency and an internship in Des Moines at Mercy Capitol Hospital, formerly called Des Moines General Hospital. He also did a fellowship in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Condoleon earned his bachelor’s degree in biology in his birth state of Ohio at Bowling Green University before doing his medical training at Des Moines University – Osteopathic Medical Center. He will fill the role vacated by Dr. Prasad Nadkarni in December of 2007. Since then KRHC has received surgical coverage from Dr. Abdi Ahari from Mercy Medical Center. “Many of our patients have had the opportunity to see Dr. Ahari, who has provided excellent surgical coverage for us for well over a year. His help has allowed us to take the time we needed to recruit the right person for this role. We’re looking forward to having Dr. Condoleon available to our patients and staff on a full time basis,” Curtis said. Dr. Condoleon made his decision to join the Kossuth Regional Health Center team after a recent trip to Algona with his wife and family. |
